I have this new obsession with soymilk.
I don't know why. I've always disliked it.
It's truly very odd.
And now I want to go to a kitchen store. To buy a muslin cloth. So I can make my own soymilk. (It's used to drain the soybean bits)
WTF

When I was in China I knew how to say soy milk and tofu but not cow milk. For weeks I only drank soy milk, but I became scared of developing lactose intolerance. So one day I ordered 牛漿, but the attendant didn't understand >.<. He tried to clarify my order, but I didn't understand what he was saying either. In these situations I'd usually resort to a "听不懂" conclusion, but this time I said "豆漿的牛" and acted out drinking a class of milk. He was like "Ah, 牛奶". I could have also added a "mooo", but this was enough. Whew!
ReplyDeleteOmg! Fight the urge and keep drinking storebought! My parents make their own all the time, and it really sucks since you can't get all the soybean residue out and it just ends up on the bottom of your cup.
